Our Mission
The Ohio Coalition To End Qualified Immunity (OCEQI) is a grassroots organization dedicated to ending qualified immunity statewide and holding government accountable when it violates our rights.
A Brief History
The movement to end qualified immunity has been gaining momentum in recent years. The OCEQI was formed in 2020 in an effort to restore government accountability in Ohio. The organization is made up of volunteers and relies on donations from people who support the cause.
The OCEQI's efforts include raising awareness about qualified immunity, hosting events and rallies, and leading the charge to place an amendment to the Ohio Constitution on the 2024 ballot to end qualified immunity statewide. We also work in partnership with other organizations such as HeartBeat Movement, AFP Ohio, and Campaign Zero, who share our goal of ending qualified immunity and holding our government accountable.
